Tom Keenan
Chairman
Tom is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and authorised by the FSA to conduct designated investment business. He has over 30 years of corporate finance experience and in that period has advised on many high profile acquisitions and disposals and been appointed to some of Northern Ireland’s largest insolvency cases. Tom leads our client services providing hands on practical advice throughout all stages of a project.
Scott Murray
Managing Director
Scott leads our Corporate Restructuring team where he has a considerable wealth of experience managing some of our largest and most complex restructuring and insolvency assignments. Scott has a number of accreditations including being a Licenced Insolvency Practitioner, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, a FCA approved person, a Member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and a BSc in Accounting from Queens University Belfast. Scott joined the Firm from Deloitte LLP where he trained within the Audit and Corporate Finance departments.
Thomas McKenna
Director
Thomas leads our Personal Insolvency team and joined Keenan CF having previously trained with a Big 4 accountancy firm, before moving to the Insolvency Service where he acted as Deputy Official Receiver for 5 years. During his time with the OR he oversaw the investigation and administration of Bankruptcy and Compulsory Winding Up cases. Thomas has managed some of the major bankruptcy cases in Northern Ireland since joining Keenan CF and provided strategic advice to creditors in pre and post enforcement scenarios to include major asset tracing assignments. Thomas holds an Insolvency Practitioners Licence and has developed Keenan CF as one of the foremost firms for personal debt advice in the province.
Ian Davison
Director
Ian joined Keenan CF’s Corporate Restructuring team in June 2021 and is a Chartered Accountant and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, with over 10 years’ restructuring and insolvency experience. He typically advises lenders in relation to their non-performing loans and assists underperforming businesses with turnaround strategies. He also has significant experience of investigations and recovering dissipated assets, including tracing assets to offshore jurisdictions and realising assets subject to freezing orders.
Sophie Currie
Senior Manager
Sophie joined Keenan CF in January 2012 and has since gained experience in all aspects of Insolvency but mainly specialises in Personal Insolvency. Sophie is responsible for all asset tracing assignments within Keenan CF and has significant experience in searching local, national and international databases. Sophie holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Finance from Queens University Belfast and is a Chartered Accountant with CAI. Sophie is in the process of undertaking her Joint Insolvency Examination Board as she seeks to qualify as an Insolvency Practitioner.
Chris McNeill
Senior Manager
Chris joined Keenan CF’s Corporate Restructuring team from PwC in September 2020 and is a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with 8 years in Insolvency and Restructuring. Chris holds a First Class Honours degree in Finance from Queen’s University, Belfast. Chris has significant experience across a range of business advisory, restructuring, insolvency and turnaround related work, and has advised clients in solvent and insolvent situations alike.
Fiona Hogan
Assistant Manager
Fiona joined the Keenan CF Corporate Restructuring team in October 2019 and has since gained experience in a variety of assignments including insolvency appointments, Fixed Charge Receiverships and Independent Business Reviews. Fiona holds a First Class Honours degree in Accounting (BSc) from Ulster University. Fiona has recently passed her Final Admitting Exams and qualified as a a Chartered Accountant.
Rachel Mason
Assistant Manager
Rachel joined the Keenan CF Personal Insolvency team in September 2020 and has since gained experience in a variety of assignments including bankruptcy estates and IVA proposals. Rachel holds a degree in International Business with Spanish (BSc) from Queen’s University Belfast. Rachel is in her final year of training to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with CAI.
Matthew McLean
Executive
Matthew joined Keenan CF’s Corporate Restructuring team in June 2023. Having recently graduated from Liverpool John Moores Unversity with a BSc Business Management degree, Matthew is undertaking his first year of Chartered Accountancy with Chartered Accountants Ireland whilst getting involved in all day to day aspects of insolvency.
Matthew Jenkins
Executive
Matthew joined Keenan CF’s Personal Insolvency team in September 2023. Matthew obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Criminology from Queen’s Unversity, Belfast and a Post Graduate Diploma (First Class Honours) in Accounting and Finance from University of Ulster. Matthew is undertaking his first year of Chartered Accountancy with Chartered Accountants Ireland whilst getting involved in all day to day aspects of personal insolvency.
